I have a ton to do tonight and so I am going to try to keep this short.
Todat after school I started to unpack the silver that we have on our shelves in our wall unit. I am almost finished but not quite yet. Then I went to get Ben from school. I decided that since he rides his bike every day, that I would pick him up on my bike! So I pumped up the tires and rode there (uphill). The ride home was fun b/c it’s straight downhill and I didn’t have to run after Ben on his bike, I could just ride beside him for once. After we ate I set him up in front of the television and went to Robin’s house to see what other goodies she had that I could use in my house. She is the one that gave us the shelves in our kitchen and other things that were very useful. So she gave me some hooks to hang on the back of the doors for towels and stuff and she gave me a mirror to hang in on of the bathrooms. I brought her son, Eitan, back with me to play with Ben for a little while until Talia came home.
When Talia came home I brought Eitan back to his house and then after waking Keren from her 4 hour nap (!!) we went to friends of our from camp in Modiin. Eric stayed home to work, of course. It was nice and the kids played nicely together.
After that we headed to the mall in Modiin for dinner. Big mistake!! I had to wait for the pizza in Sbarro’s to be made b/c they didn’t have any more regular slices. Then while the kids were eating I went to Burgers Bar and got a burger for myself. In the meantime the kids were eating and, unbeknownst to me, were spilling Sprite on eachothers pizza!! ahhh. So I scarfed down my burger and we ran out of there.
Oh, while we were walking in I got a call from an Israeli who invited us for a meal on Rosh Hashana!! How nice?? So I have to really brush up on my Hebrew between now and then so I don’t have a headache by the time we leave their house. You should have heard me on the phone just trying to communicate to her that we would love to come but I have to call her back b/c I wasn’t sure which meal we were already invited out for. very excited to have Israeli friends.
Anyway, when I got home I gave the kids a bath and tucked them in and then ran out again to Modiin to get some fruits and veggies and Keren’s vaccination that the nurse is going to give her tomorrow. Eric has been jumping through hoops trying to get her the right vaccine and he was finally successful, after upgrading our medical insurance. So tomorrow she’ll go to the nurse accross the street and get her shots that she needs. I had to refrigerate them when I got home (just a side note).
SO, I have to go do my ulpan homework, I have a lot, and I have to study b/c I think she is going to give us a quiz tomorrow on some new words. Eric is out now buying us seats for Rosh Hashana. Oh, he’s back!!
