Time to get up for school!

Today the kids went back to school and of course no one could get out of bed!!  The 3 days of vacation that they had they hopped right out of bed sometime in the 6 o’clock hour but of course today at 7:15 they were still snoring away.  Well, I had little pity on them, as they had NO pity on me during vacation, and I woke them UP!  Talia claimed illness and Ben was sluggish but I got those kids right out the door and was in the supermarket by 8 with Keren while Eric slept!  Although we’ve all been on vacation Eric has still been working late hours at night!!

So we had a pretty relaxing day at home.  I finished my shopping by 8:30 and Keren slept a ton today while I cleaned the chicken and made the soup and the kugel for Shabbat.  We hung out in the morning and then went to pick Ben up from school.

I forgot to mention that when we got home from our Purim seudah I got a call from my cousin who said that when my grandparents arrived home in Petach Tikvah they saw that their house was broken into and their safe was ripped out of the wall and gone and their place was destroyed!!  My poor grandmother was extremely upset and didn’t know where to even begin.  They called my aunt and uncle who immediately rushed over and the police came and they all took  inventory to see what was gone and then they started to clean up the mess.  My grandmother has been very busy dealing with getting her door fixed and getting new passports and talking to the insurance company, etc.  I feel so bad for her.  I am glad that when I spoke to her today she was doing much better.  I am going to try to convince her to put in an alarm.  She said she is afraid to go to sleep at night now. 

Anyway, the rest of the afternoon today we did a few more errands and went to the park and then Talia came home while Keren was napping and Rinat came over to play and speak some Hebrew and I tossed the ball around with Ben and took him for a bike ride, etc.  His riding is getting really great and he can even start on his own now.  His stopping is really improving as well.  He went up a very difficult hill today with little help from me and then down the hill nice and slowly without losing control.  I am so proud!

Had a hard time getting Keren to sleep tonight after sleeping all day.  We hung out and watched some Hells Kitchen together this evening which she was transfixed by and then I finally got her to sleep.

And so another week has gone by.
