This morning after taking the kids to school Keren and I came home for a quick breakfast and then I took her straight to a park in Modiin. My thinking was that since I stayed in all morning yesterday and she only slept an hour, maybe I could get her to sleep longer if I tired her out. The weather was stunning this morning before the sun got too stong and it was really nice to be outside. I met a woman there with her son who I had met once before when I was there and we got to talking. We were happy to see each other (I was glad for the company and also so I could practice speaking Hebrew) and we hung out for a while. She brought food for the kids and Keren and I sat with her and Keren ate their food!
After the park I ran across the street to pick up some fruit and veggies while we were there. I had a hard time keeping Keren awake in the car on the way home but I managed to and then tucked her in for a nice long nap. In the end she slept for only an hour (again!!) but wasn’t crying just making noises so I left her in bed and I think she might have gone back to sleep for another hour.
This afternoon Ben and Talia had their English classes again and Talia had gymnastics. Ben’s old friend who moved to Modiin came by and they played together for a little while in the evening while Talia was still at gymnastics. Keren was glad to have the company and played outside with them as well.
Here are some pictures Ben and I took this afternoon. Keren loves to have her picture taken. She says “cheeee”.
A cute Keren story: She has been so eager to be on camera lately that tonight she sat herself down in her little red chair while I was holding the camera and started saying the words that I’ve asked her to say before on camera (see yesterday’s post). I tried to get her to do something else. She likes to pretend to snap. She moves her hands and makes a clicking noise with her tongue at the same time. I sort of got it on camera:
At one point today Keren was walking around the house saying something that I couldn’t understand. Finally she brought me her changing pad and I realized she was saying the word “stinky”. I asked her if she had a doody and she shook her head yes. Sure enough she did and she wanted me to change her!! Talia commented that at this rate she’ll be toilet trained in no time! So cute.
Ben mentioned something about his stomach bothering him tonight while he was in the shower. I am praying that I am not up all night dealing with vomit. For that reason I am going to jump into the shower and try to get to sleep ASAP in case I am woken up tonight.
