Well, tomorrow is December 1st and I can say that it is finally cold!  Today we all wore long sleeves except for Talia (who was cold) and tonight Eric mentioned that this week when he’s away we might need to turn on the heat!  We’ll see.  I still think we can get away with no heat for a while even though these stone houses are colder than the temps outside usually are.

So we took Keren to the nurse today for her weigh in and her shots.  She got two shots and she was not a happy camper!  She weighs 7.1 Kilo (15.6 lbs.) The nurse said that I can continue to feed her the fruits and veggies and cereal that I’ve been giving her but that I can also add beans and chicken and turkey into the mix.  I think I’ll just make a big pot of either chicken or veggie soup and puree it for her and give it to her this week and see if she likes it.  The nurse said that her head seems to have grown a very large amount but that it must have been a mistake the last time they measured it b/c it seems to be proportionate to her body.  OK!!??  I think I understood most of what she said and I don’t think I missed anything important.  There was some miming going on but for the most part we understood each other!

Keren wasn’t having a very good morning b/c of her shots and then Eric left her alone on the couch upstairs outside our room where there is no rug and although he checked on her often, she rolled off when he tunred his back and bumped her head on the floor!!  That really set her over the top.  So we gave her some Tylenol for the shots and to calm her down and put on her favorite video, Baby Mozart, and she fell asleep in my arms.

I brought Ben’s friend Eitan home with Ben today and we stopped in the park until 2.  Can’t play in the park from 2-4 b/c it’s officially the rest time on the yishuv and you aren’t allowed to make noise outside during those hours but they had had enough by then anyway.

Talia had her English chug and then when she came home we went to friends in Modiin for a BBQ.  It was nice but we came home around 7 and by the time the water heated up for the kids’ shower it was late and they didn’t get to sleep until at least 7:45.  So I had a cranky Ben but an ok Talia.

Eric is packing up now for his trip back to America.  He’ll be there again this week until Thurs. night when he leaves to come back to us!  Here we go again!
