Don’t eat the dough!

This morning we decided we were going to go buy dining room chairs to match the table that we bought about a year ago.  Unfortunately, the place that I wanted to go to is closed for a couple of days b/c the guy that works there is sick.  He happened to pick up the phone when I called but he said they weren’t open and I should try back in a couple of  days.  I am disappointed b/c Eric is leaving on Sunday and this will push off the chairs for quite some time.  I am thinking of maybe going myself when he’s gone and picking something out that he can then approve when he gets back.  We’ll see.  I am usually very busy when he’s away.

Instead of going there we took Keren to the mall and she played there in the little toddler area that they have.  The moved it, unfortunately, away from the big windows where it was to a spot right in between the escalator and the elevator.  When one of the mothers complained she was told that they moved it b/c the sun was streaming in through the windows and it was bothering people.  So, I guess they decided to pick the most dangerous spot they could find in the mall and put it there.  Regardless of the location, Keren seemed to have a nice time.

Ben and I made challah when he came home.  After his English chug Talia, Ben, Keren and I braided it.  Talia went to English after that and finally to gymnastics (she hasn’t been there in 2 weeks) and Ben was feeling a little lonely.  We called a friend and she couldn’t come b/c she had a chug so I called Robin and Ben, Keren and I went over there to play.  I brought the challot and baked them there.  Oh, I forgot to mention that Keren ate the dough while we were braiding it.  She was so funny.  One minute she was rolling a little piece I gave her and the next minute it was gone and I noticed that she ate it!

We got back pretty late and Ben and I quickly made macaroni and cheese casserole and then ran to pick Talia up from gymnastics.  I told her I would pick her up tonight b/c it got a little chilly and I didn’t want her to have to walk.

That pretty much wraps up the day.  Oh, let me not forget the delicious doughnut that I ate today in honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev!!
