Today is 10 months to the day that we left America and headed to Israel! Tomorrow we leave after an amazing 10 months. I can’t believe how the school year has flown! Eric and I are totally depressed that we are leaving but we are, of course, excited to see our families and our friends. I am sure that if we weren’t going and we stayed home for the summer we would be depressed to see all the families who do go back for the summer and feel like we were being left behind. So it’s tricky.
Anyway, today was spent mostly packing and organizing. My cleaning man was supposed to come today but he never showed. I called him and he said he’ll be coming tomorrow. That was really annoying b/c I thought he was coming and we planned our day accordingly.
Talia had a party in the late afternoon and Ben, Keren and I went to the park and enjoyed the weather. I hear it’s been raining in America now for almost the entire month of June so I was glad that we got the sun in today. It was beautiful when we went at 5.
Talia is so excited that she couldn’t fall asleep tonight. She was in bed writing jokes in Hebrew. Today she asked me how you say הפסקה in English. Then at the park Ben asked me how you say חום in English. Maybe it’s a good thing that we are going back this summer so the kids can pick up some English while we are there
So we are pretty much all packed except for the last minute items that we’ll throw in tomorrow and we are ready to shop and see friends and get wet (from the rain).
